CLA – Chloramines Reduction Filters (Dual Tank):
This two tank system uses special catalytic carbon to remove the Chloramines (Chlorine + Ammonia now used in local water for disinfectants) and their carcinogenic byproducts, Total TriHalomethanes (TTHMs) and Haloacetic Acids (HAAs). Carbon needs contact time and space to proper adsorb these chemicals – a two tank with the proper amount of cubic feet of carbon is required.
Nobody wants to add more chemicals in their water – the purpose of filters to is to remove.
